CondeHouse
From Hokkaido with care & respect
CondeHouse is a leading Japanese brand known for high-quality, sustainable furniture in wood. Located on the northern island of Hokkaido and drawing on local and home-grown materials, the latest technology is married with a hands-on craft tradition. CondeHouse produce an aesthetically restrained collection of long-life furniture.
We worked with our sister company wove.co on a full brand refresh to enable CondeHouse speak to a professional international audience. Our strategy delivered a series of brand actions, assets, guidelines and print & digital templates which were used by the team in Japan to consolidate existing photography and roll out the new identity.
Our suite of brand elements work together to connect people with nature, place and craft through enduring products – providing CondeHouse with a brand new platform to go from forest to function for the next fifty years.

The old monolithic identity, designed in the nineties, was no longer fit for purpose. The new monogram is playful yet credible and designed to be digitally responsive. We paired it with a rich colour palette to connect with nature and reflect refinement of product.

We simplified the name and unified typography across languages to create a full suite of branding assets that work together to facilitate a smooth transition to the new identity.

We brought Hokkaido into the story with a new tagline to provide sense of place. Rich imagery of the natural landscape, people and process help reveal what makes these products unique.

The publication and promotional suite celebrates the detail of considered, textured materials and ranges from newsletters to catalogues and brochures.

The strategy and brand guide covers everything from brand pillars and actions to imagery and applications. This is accompanied by an extensive set of templates and guides to empower local teams.
