To end the week on a dramatic note we’ve just received the programme we designed for the Autumn season at the Ark title ‘Inspiring Theatre’. They have some great shows on this season so if there’s a theatrical tendency in your children this isn’t to be missed.

As part of the summer programme at the Ark they’ve just launched Exhibit Me!—an evolving exhibition of children’s art. We jumped at the opportunity to photograph the huge type which they’ve painted on the wall in the space. Cleverly they’ve used leftover programme covers to clad the kids workshop tables too. If you’re in the area we’d recommend you check it out!

We’ve just finished some recipe cards for Dublin’s finest meat merchant—Ennis Butchers in Rialto. We wanted to help spice up your trip to the butchers with some free printed delights. The photography is a good mix of ours and Monsieur Mike O’Toole’s, styled lovingly by Anne Marie Tobin. For the print savvy they’re printed on this great double sided board we came across—textured one side, silky smooth on the other. If you’re hungry for some culinary concoctions why not pop in.

Our work on this years Absolut Fringe programme and website went live last night. Always good to launch a project into the real world and we’re looking forward to hearing what folks think of them. The cover for the programme is a collage of the fringe f as photographed by 30 camera-wielding festival fans. The corner of each image is tagged with a number and their portraits appear on the back cover. Loads of great things to see and do as always at this years festival, so grab a programme, go to the website and get involved.

So we consider ourselves doubly lucky that one of our good cleints recommended us to her husband and it turns out that he’s a good client too. We just completed the printed programme for this years Roola Boola children’s arts festival at The Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar. We added some activities to the spreads and kept the layouts pretty much black and white with little spots of colour. The line-up is great and we’d recommend anyone with kids in the Castlebar area or beyond to have a look and head along.

The official press launch of the Arms AW2010/11 menswear collection took place last week. Really good to see such a great turnout and positive response to all Renate’s hard work. No less than is deserved though, the clothes are fantastic. We helped out with some nice decals, a Scandinavian influenced clothes rack, a new website (full version coming soon) and a handy Arms notebook. Good luck to Mike O’Toole who’s heading to Rhubarb in Birmingham this weekend to meet some people about his new project – The Shrinking Horizons of Childhood. It’s a beautiful project dealing with the fact that children are spending less and less time outdoors. We produced a simple presentation portfolio in an edition of 20. We’ll upload images soon.

We recently completed a simple to-the-point campaign for Dublin Samaritans, designed to draw peoples attention to the different ways they can make contact. A simple message set in the organisations font (Elephant by David James Associates) and strong colours combine to direct and noticeable effect.
